Balochistan is the largest unit of Pakistan. The province is gifted with natural recourses and is playing a vital role in the development of the country due to its strategic location. Baloch people have rich traditions of patriotism, hospitality, and national cohesion. In order to pay tribute to these traditions, Baloch Culture Day is celebrated on 2nd March in the whole country in general and in Balochistan in particular.
Military College Sui also celebrated this day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The college was decorated with traditional Baloch colours. All the cadets, officers and civil employees dressed themselves in traditional Baloch dresses. The Commandant in his address to the Baloch staff appreciated their role in smooth running of the institution. Prizes were also given in recognition of their contributions. A lunch of traditional food was arranged on the occasion in which every body joined.
An impressive folk show was also arranged by College Drama Team which included skits, songs, and traditional dance. Commandant Military College Sui, Brigadier Abdul Mannan was the chief guest on the occasion. Local Balochi singer Sabaz Ali also performed and sang different songs entertaining the audience with melodious Baloch tones. At the end of the show, the Commandant talked about the diverse and colorful Baloch Culture and appreciated the efforts of cadets and staff in celebrating the day in a wonderful manner. He also awarded prizes to the cadets on their excellent performance in cultural show. A dinner, consisting Baloch traditional food, was also arranged on this occasion which was enjoyed by everyone.
