Board Positions - Star Performers of MCS

MCSB is ranked among the leading academic institutions of the country. The College has consistently shown 100% results in FSc (Pre-Engineering and Computer Science groups) during Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Quetta (BBISE) examination from 2013 to 2018 with majority of cadets attaining A+ and A grade. In 2018, five cadets of class XII secured positions in the Board's top 20. Cadet Muhammad Saad stood 6th in the overall board result. The XII class delivered an excellent 100% result with 64 "A+" and 23 "A" grades while the XI class stepped ahead with 84 "A+" and 3 "A" grades. In 2017 again 4 cadets of matric class secured 4 positions out of first 20 positions in Board Exams. This was an unprecedented result in the history of the College. In XII Class one of our students came in top twenty in Board Exams. In 2016, 2 x cadets of MCS secured 1st and 3rd position in FSc Exam of BBISE. Overall, the College clinched 9 out of first 20 positions in the said exam.

Dy Comdt & CI - Welcome & Farewell

Col Abdul Razzaque is officially welcomed as Dy Comdt & CI of MCSB after the send off in honour of the Ex Dy Comdt & CI, Col M. Afzal Baig, as he has been posted out to Army Burnhall College, Abbotabad.

Defence Day - 6 September

National Defence day, 6 September was observed with national fervour to pay tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan during Indo-Pakistan war of 1965. In this regard, a ceremony was arranged at Cadets Mess in which a comprehensive presentation was delivered by the chief guest Brigadier Khalid Sultan, Commandant MCSB, to enlighten the audience on the significance of the day. In the end, the commandant highlighted the importance of the day in his culminating remarks.

Independence Day - Long Live Pakistan

The day of 14 August 2018 commenced with flag hoisting ceremony held in front of the Academic Block. All the officers and cadets of the College were present on the occasion. Commandant MCSB, Brig Khalid Sultan, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address, the Commandant highlighted the efforts and sacrifices rendered by our forefathers for our beloved homeland. In the evening a cake cutting ceremony was held in the Cadets’ Mess followed by a social night organized by the MCSB Drama Club wherein the cadets of different classes sang national songs and presented skits about the hardships and efforts of our national heroes which drew special interest of the audience.

Summer Vacations - 2018

Summer vacations were announced from 14 May 2018 till 5 August 2018. The college is reopened now.

Special Musical Night

The College arranged a special musical night for the cadets of outgoing 2nd Year on 12 May 2018 in which a well known muscial band was invited. The band entertained the audience with excellent songs and dances. The cadets were really amused to see such a colourful show and enjoyed it a lot. A large number of civil and military guests were also invited on this occasion. At the end of the show, Commandant MCS appreciated the performance of the team and thanked all the guests for sparing their precious time. The Commandant also wished good luck to the outgoing 2nd year cadets in their future endeavors.

Tea Out/ Shields Awarding Ceremony

A special ceremony was arranged in the Officers’ Mess on 11 May 2018 where the cadets of outgoing 2nd Year were invited on Tea Out. It was attended by the entire faculty of the College. On this occasion, Commandant MCS presented College Shields to the outgoing cadets as a token of memory. Cadets were overjoyed to witness such a pleasant hospitality in their honour.

Farewell Dinner 2nd Year Class

The Farewell Dinner in the honour of outgoing cadets of 2nd Year was arranged on 11 May 2018 in the Cadets’ Mess. Commandant MCS along with the entire faculty of the College welcomed the outgoing cadets in the Dine Out. The officers later interacted with the cadets in an informal manner and joined them during the dinner. Cadets were quite happy to receive such a warm welcome and nice hospitality by the College. At the end of the dinner, Commandant MCS wished the outgoing cadets success in their future endeavours.

Farewell Social Night 2nd Year Class

The main farewell event arranged in the honour of outgoing Cadets of 2nd Year was the Farewell Social Night which was held on 11 May 2018. On this occasion, cadets of MCS Drama Club presented a marvellous show. The cadets amused the audience with a blend of humorous skits, melodious songs and dances. The event was attended by the faculty, their families and cadets of all the entries and was greatly enjoyed. The Commandant MCS was the Chief Guest on this occasion who at the end of the show appreciated the MCS Drama Club for producing a spectacular show.

Kashmir Solidarity Day - 5 February

Kashmir Day was observed at MCS with full patriotic fervour to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian held Jammu and Kashmir. A highly informative lecture was delivered to the cadets highlighting the historical perspective of Kashmir issue, various aspects of the Kashmir dispute and the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris for their right of self-determination. The cadets were educated on the historical developments regarding the Kashmir problem..

Quaid-E-Azam Day

To pay a revered tribute to our Quaid for his unprecedented sacrifices in achieving our dear homeland, Quaid’s Day is celebrated with lot of festivity, gaiety and enthusiasm in MCS. A colourful but impressive ceremony was held on 25th December 2017 at Academic Block which was attended by cadets and the faculty. An enlightening talk was delivered by Major Abdul Qadeer dilating upon the multifarious aspects of persona of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, thus inspiring the audience to follow the footsteps of the great Quaid. It was followed by national songs and cultural dances performed by cadets clad in colourful and attractive dresses. The audience was awe-struck and overwhelmed by the beautiful performance of the cadets.

Iqbal Day

Iqbal day celebrations were held on 9th November 2017 with traditional zeal and fervour and a solemn pledge to materialize the vision of Iqbal. A comprehensive talk was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Tariq on different personality traits of our national poet and his poetry. The speaker stressed upon the message of his poetry to the youth and laid emphasis to follow the guiding principles of Iqbal in pursuit of glory.

Parent's Day - 2017

Annual Parent’s Day was celebrated at MCS on 18 November 2017 with traditional zeal and fervour. Federal Minister for Interior Mr Ahsan Iqbal graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Inspector General Frontier Corps (North), Director General Human Resource Development Directorate, and a large number of senior Civil and Military officials, local tribal elders and parents of the cadets also attended the event. The proceedings started with march in of the cadets clad in immaculate khaki uniforms and raising slogans of MCS Zindabaad. The Chief Guest reviewed the parade followed by March Past. Other important activities included spectacular Physical Training display followed by a thrilling presentation by the Karate Club and Gymnastics Show. Cadets of Military College Sui Drama Club, dressed up in beautiful cultural dresses of all provinces of Pakistan, presented the College Anthem. The audience was all praise for this spectacular performance. Commandant MCS presented the College Annual Report highlighting the important developments and achievements of the College during the preceding year and the academic achievements earned by the young Bolanians in board examinations - 2017 of Matric and F.Sc. On the occasion, the Chief Guest, in his address, appreciated the efforts put in by the faculty of MCS for bringing this institution at par with leading institutions. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Army in general and the College faculty in particular for providing quality education to the youth of Balochistan and other parts of the country. Later on, he gave away prizes to the individuals who achieved distinction in Academic year 2017. The most prestigious award of the college, The Chief of Army Staff Trophy was awarded to Sher Shah House for their all-round performance. After that the guests reached the venue of Science and Arts Clubs Exhibition and praised the innovative projects of future scientists and amateur artists. In the end, the proud recipients of awards, College appointments and the faculty had Group Photo with the Chief Guest.

Inter House Basketball Championship

Inter-House Basketball Championship was held from 17-23 August 2017 featuring teams of all three senior houses. The teams played with great energy and enthusiasm and put in their best. The final match was played between Haider House and Jinnah House. Jinnah House ended up as champions of Inter-House Basketball Championship 2017. Cadet Sumsam Shafique of Jinnah House was declared as Man of the Tournament.

Inter House Cricket Championship

Pakistanis are a passionate cricket- loving nation. The same passion and excitement was seen in the Inter-House Cricket Championship 2017. The tournament started from 26 September 2017 in which teams from all senior houses participated with great passion. On 3rd of October 2017 the final match was played between Haider House and Sher Shah House. Both the teams exhibited their best performance. Sher Shah House won the toss and set the target of 104 in 10 overs. Haider House, while chasing the target got all out for 61. Cadet Muhammad Shehryar of Sher Shah House was declared Man of the Match in the final. Cadet Amin Ullah of Sher Shah House was declared Man of the Tournament.

Inter House Volleyball Championship

Inter House Volleyball Championship was played from 3rd to 6th of October 2017 in which teams from all senior houses participated. Final Match was played on 6th October 2017 which proved to be a cliff hanger for both teams. The final match was played between Jinnah House and Sher Shah House. The first set was won by Jinnah House without much ado. In the next two sets Sher Shah House showed great resilience and won both the sets and lifted the trophy of Inter House Volleyball Championship 2017. Cadet Hamza Khan of Sher Shah House was declared Man of the Tournament.

Inter House Athletics Championship

The championship opened with a graceful ceremony on 9 October 17 in which players pledged to follow the rules of the games in true letter and spirit and exhibit discipline and sportsman spirit. The final competitions were held on 11 October 17 culminating in Tug of War competition between Officers and cadets. After a hard-fought struggle, the officers won the battle while the cadets won hearts of all those witnessing the competition. The events that tested the physical endurance, fitness and stamina of cadets were Discus Throw, Javelin Throw, Long Jump, Shot Put and Sprints of 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m and 4 x 100 m Relay Race. Best athletes of Inter House Athletics 2017 were Cadet Abdul Razzaq (Sher Shah House) and Cadet Ehsan Ali (Jinnah House). Jinnah House came out as overall winner of Inter House Athletics followed by Sher Shah House.

Inter House Football Championship

Inter House Football Championship was played from 21 December 2017 to 12 January 2018 in which teams from senior houses participated with traditional zeal and zest. After the initial stage teams of Haider House and Sher Shah House reached the final. The final proved to be a real thriller. Sher Shah House went into the lead in the first half but the rival team had other intensions in the mind. With well-coordinated moves, accurate passing and better understanding of the situation, Haider House succeeded in scoring two goals and overthrew the reigning champions. The spectators were all praise for both the teams for providing such an exciting and thrilling final. Commandant MCS was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He gave away the winner and runner up trophies to both the teams and appreciated the players for putting up such an excellent show.

Inter House Physical Efficiency Test

Inter House Physical Efficiency Test was held on 20 October 2017. Events included Two Miles Test, Chin Ups, Push Ups and Sit Ups. Haider House secured 1st position while Jinnah House and Sher Shah House stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. Cadet Nasrullah of Haider House was declared overall best cadet of the competition.

Inter House Calligraphy and Painting Competition

Painting and Calligraphy generate sense of curiosity, creativity and innovation in the minds of human beings. With a view to explore the same very talents in cadets, Inter House Calligraphy and Painting competitions were held in the College on 28 October 2017. Cadets showed their talent in oil painting on canvas, drawing sketches, pencil sketching and Charcoal work on themes of Balochi culture, historical places, landscape, figurative and creative work. In calligraphy, the cadets used different calligraphic styles like Nastaliq, Sulus, Naksh, Kufic, Diwani and Riqa and wrote verses of Holy Quran. The painting and calligraphy works were placed in exhibition which were greately appreciated by the audience. In painting competition Cadet Shahban Ali of Haider House clinched the 1st position while second position was jointly claimed by Cadet Muhammad Rafey of Sher Shah House and Cadet Abdul Hadi of Haider House. Calligraphy Competition was won by Cadet Abdul Rafay of Sher Shah House while second position was clinched by Cadet Farrukh Aslam of Jinnah House.

Inter House Quiz Competition

Quiz is a mind sport which helps in growth of knowledge, abilities and skills of an individual. Keeping in view this knowledge enhancement activity, a quiz competition is held in the College on annual basis to improve the general knowledge of the cadets and also help them prepare for the initial test in ISSB. The competition is held on individual as well as team basis. Best performer of the competition is declared as Master Mind of the competition. Inter House Quiz Competition was held on 3 November 2017 in which all three houses participated. Haider House won the competition, followed by Sher Shah House as runner up and Jinnah House at 3rd position. Cadet Ans Naeem of Haider House was declared the Master Mind MCS being the top individual scorer in the competition. Commandant MCS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the individual prizes and the trophy to the winners..

Inter House Declamation Competition

To inculcate the refined communication skills in cadets, Inter House Declamation Competition was held at MCS on 6 November 2017. Two participants each from English and Urdu category represented their respective houses. The cadets exhibited their talent in the art of oratory and won applause of the audience. The cadets of the junior house also got the opportunity to speak on the occasion who won the hearts of the audience with their impressive speeches. Commandant MCS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Cadet Zulqarnain Musa was declared the best English speaker (Juniors) and Cadet Abdul Basit became the best Urdu speaker amongst the juniors. Cadet Muhammad Bin Shahzad from Sher Shah House became the Champion of Inter House Declamation in English category and Cadet Jamal Khan from the same house became unrivalled champion in Urdu category. At the end, the Chief Guest gave away the prizes and trophies to the winners and runner ups..

Personality Grooming

In order to provide constant counselling and guidance to the Bolanians in their future pursuits with a view to enhance their chances for selection in the Army through ISSB, MCS endeavours hard through different measures. In this regard a psychologist visited the College from 9 to 12 November 2017 for psychological test, profiling, interview, personality grooming and evaluation of the cadets. He conducted fruitful interactive sessions with cadets and the faculty and also extended help in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of cadets. In his final presentation, he emphasized the desirable personality traits for induction into Army.


It is informed with great sorrow and grief that GC Ayaz Ahmed Khosa, who was under training at PMA in 3rd Term, ex Cadet Military College Sui (College No.407) has died during operation of brain tumor at CMH Rawalpindi. May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul in his eternal abode. Ameen.
