Inter-House/ Inter-Wing Qiraat and Naat Competition – 2023-24

On the auspicious occasion of Eid Milaad-ul-Nabi on the 12th of Rabi-ul- Awwal (29 Sep 2023), all ranks of MCSB gathered in College Mosque for the fajar prayer. Recitation of the Quran was also carried out after the prayer. In the evening, Inter-House Naat and Qiraat Competitions for the academic year 2023-24 were arranged in Moeed Hall. This beautifully arranged event brought cadets together from four senior houses namely Haider House, Sher Shah House, Jinnah House, Liaqat House and a junior house, Iqbal House. The Qiraat competition showcased the participants’ talents and their control over their harmonious utterances greatly impressed the panel of judges, consisting of Maj Tayyab, Capt Yasin and Khateeb Tahir. The complete faculty of the college also witnessed the mesmerizing recitation skills of the participants.

In the subsequent session of the competition, Naat recitations took the centre stage. Selected Cadets from all houses were invited on rostrum to participate in this blissful event. Cadet Mubeen from Liaqat House emerged as the standout Qari and Cadet Tahir from Liaqat House stood 1st as Naat Khwaan among all participants. While, Cadet Haseeb from A Wing stood 1st in Qiraat, and Cadet Duda Khan from B Wing secured 1st position In Naat. Overall winner was A Wing. Ultimately, amongst the senior houses, Sher Shah House clinched the coveted trophy for the Inter-House Naat and Qiraat Competition 2023-24.

The event was enriched by the gracious presence of Brigadier Wasim Qasir, Commandant, Military College Sui, who generously gave away the prizes to the winners. It was indeed a day that marked the spiritual enlightenment and celebrated the abundance of talent within the MCSB cadets.
