Delegation of Military Colleges’ Kazakhstan Visit – YEP (12-18 Feb2024)

Education is a wholesome experience of various fields of learning. It does not confine itself to the volumes of books nor does it limit itself within the boundaries of classrooms. Believing in this, Pakistan Army, every year, carries out various educational programs in order to diversify the modes of learning for its cadets. Among those programs tops the Youth Exchange Program (YEP).

Under this program a delegation compromising Brigadier Wasim Qasir, Commandant Military College Sui Balochistan (Head of the delegation) , Major Tahir Usman (OIC delegation) and eight cadets from Military College Sui, Jehlum & Murree visited Kazakhstan. The visit to the friendly country started from 12 Feb 24 and culminated on 18 Feb 24.

The delegation was welcomed warmly by the Kazak military and civil authorities, demonstrating the sheer bond of friendship and brotherhood between both the countries. The visit served the educational purpose as the cadets were provided with the opportunity to visit the world class educational institutions of Kazakhstan including Nurmagambetov Military College, International University of IT and Agro-Technical University. The delegation had the opportunity to delve into the historic and cultural realms of Kazakhstan during their visits to The Nur Alem Pavilion Sphere, Baiterek Monument, Karajartas Pyramids and National Museum. The visit was not devoid of thrilling fun as the delegation was taken on a visit to Ailans Aquarium and Keruen City mall. Besides, the delegation didn’t miss the opportunity to taste their Pakistani cuisine while devouring the Kazak one, as they were hosted a dinner by Defence Attaché of Pakistan, at Pakistani Restaurant.

Overall, the visit to Kazakhstan under Young Exchange Program proved to be a holistic experience for the delegation and an opportunity for learning historical, cultural and social heritage of Kazakhstan. The visit also carries a hope for further strengthening of bilateral ties between two countries.
