Baloch Culture Day (2nd Mar 2024) Celebrations at MCSB
Pakistan is home to one of the most diverse cultural and social fabrics, where it comprises of scores of ethnic and religious groups practicing their own cultures and traditions. Balochistan, being largest province of the country in terms of area, constitutes a large part of Pakistani culture. 2nd March is celebrated as Baloch Culture Day in order to rever and glorify the Baloch cultural heritage. In this line, Baloch Cultural Day was also celebrated in MCSB on 2 Mar 2024 with traditional zest and enthusiasm. The college was decorated as per Baloch cultural theme where the cadets, faculty and civil staff dressed up in traditional Baloch dress.
The day started with Baloch Dress Competition amongst civil staff of the college, the cadets, officers, and officers’ wards. The winners of the competition were presented with various prizes by Brig Wasim Qasir, Commandant MCSB. It was followed by Bara Khana which was arranged for civil employees along with all faculty and staff of the college. After Bara khana, cash prizes were given to the civil employees. Baloch Culture Day walk was organised in afternoon, in which the officers, officers’ wards and the cadets participated wearing traditional Baloch attire. Additionally, dinner night was arranged for the cadets in the Cadets’ Mess , which was participated by the Commandant MCSB , Deputy Commandant , faculty officers and the guests from FC, Balochistan.
Baloch Cultural day celebration at MCSB culminated with a variety show held in parade ground of the College. The show included different cultural and national performances by the cadets including cultural songs, dances and skits. It also gave an opportunity to the audience to enjoy a live musical performance, in the midst of an oasis, by a famous music band of the Punjab.
Baloch Culture Day Celebration at MCSB was a continuation of the legacy of the college and its commitment to integrate the Baloch populace into the national spirit. Hence, the celebration stressed upon the ideals of peace, harmony, national integration, diversity, and Pakistaniyat.
