Bilingual Debate and Declamation Competition – 2023

On 25-26 September 2023, Inter-House and Inter-Wing Bilingual Debate and Declamation Competition were organized in Moeed Hall. On the first day, i.e., 25th September, Urdu Debate and Declamation Competition took place to unfold the talents of four senior houses – Haider House, Sher Shah House, Jinnah House and Liaqat House. Two cadets from each house participated in both Declamation and Debate, representing both the school and college sections. Cadet Zill-e-Rehman from Jinnah House emerged as 1st in Debate session, while Cadet Sibtain Toqeer from Liaqat House secured 1st position in the declamation competition. Despite Jinnah House’s success in individual events, they also secured the overall first position in the Urdu Debate and Declamation Competition. The worthy panel of judges comprising of Lieutenant Colonel Malik Abid Hussain Khokhar, Captain Mohsin and Lecturer Khalid, ensured fair evaluation. The Chief Guest, Deputy Commandant/ Chief Instructor, Colonel Dr Muhammad Ilyas, presided over the session. The competition was exceptionally well-organized, setting a high standard for cadet activities. The audience were educated through outstanding oratory skills of the speakers.
On 26 September 2023, the main event was conducted which included English Debate and Declamations and prize distribution. College Commandant, Brigadier Wasim Qasir graced the occasion as chief guest. During the competition, Cadet Habib from Haider House clinched the first position in the Debate category and Cadet Ali from Sher Shah House in Declamation category. Haider House emerged as the overall champions for the year 2023-24 in English Debate and Declamation. The event was adjudicated by a panel of esteemed judges including Lieutenant Colonel Malik Abid Hussain Khokhar, Major Tahir & Captain Sohail. Commandant Military College Sui gave away the prizes to the individual top positions as well as the over winner and runner up houses.
The impressive display of passionate speeches which were full of oration and logic enthralled the audience.
