Guddu Thermal Power Plant Visit – XII Class (2023)

On September 23, 2023, an exciting excursion trip was arranged for the cadets of second-year class for Guddu Thermal Power Plant which is about 50 kilometers away from Military College Sui. A total of 87 enthusiastic cadets embarked on this educational journey under the supervision of four MCSB officers, including the Deputy Commandant, GSO-I (Training), House Master of Liaqat House, and Captain Sohail Musa. Ensuring the safety of the group, Frontier Corps provided a very effective security cover. Major Mudassir (retired), security officer of the power plant extended a warm welcome to the MCSB cadets and shared insights into the history and functioning of the Guddu Thermal Power Plant. The visit illuminated the vital role this facility plays during power shutdowns. An engaging question-and-answer session saw cadets actively participating, enhancing their understanding towards functioning of the power plant. To commemorate this enriching experience, Deputy Commandant presented College souvenir as a token of gratitude to the hosts for providing this special opportunity to the cadets of MCSB.
